Meriema Ground ready for KBC’s Jubilee Trophy 2022

The Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC) is organizing an Open Football Tournament (Jubilee Trophy 2022) in commemoration of its silver jubilee celebration under the theme “Press towards the goal.”

27 teams from 26 churches will vie for the coveted champion title, which will commence from October 20 till November 5 at Meriema Ground and Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

The champion with get Rs. 1 lakh while the first runner-up will pocket Rs 70,000. Losing semi finalist teams will receive Rs 30,000 each. Individual cash prize of Rs 5000 each will also be awarded to Highest Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender and Best Midfielder. Player of the tournament will be awarded with Rs 10,000.
 
Inaugural function on October 20
The inaugural function will take place on October 20 at Meriema ground at 1:30 PM. The Organizing Committee invites all the participating teams to the inaugural function. All the team managers have been requested to bring their team flag for oath taking.

Medoneiu Usou, Executive Secretary, Pesocha Baptist Church Council will be the special guest.

Act of blessings will be pronounced by Neibalie Kiewhuo, pastor KBC. Organizing Committee member Khriezovolie Suokhrie will administer oath to the participating teams.
