
KOHIMA, SEPT 21 (MExN): Planning Department has accorded project clearance to 29 departments for Negotiated Loan from various Financial Institutions to be taken up during the current financial year.
This was disclosed by the Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Lalhuma at the monthly meeting of Administrative Heads and Heads of Department in the Secretariat Conference Hall in Kohima yesterday, according to an official news bulletin. Lalhuma directed all the concerned departments to make efforts for getting consent and sanction from the respective Financial Institutions. He said the planning clearance will have no meaning if they fail to obtain the sanction.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the communitization programme in Education, Power and Health & Family Welfare departments. Besides this, issues relating to mandatory implementation of Right to Information Act, imperative need of re-installation of PABX, improvement of working conditions in the Secretariat and calendar of ‘Plan’ activities including NEC and DONER funded schemes were taken up for discussions during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Secretary Talitemjen also pointed out that the State government would launch awareness campaign on revival of dignity of labour. He also said district level workshops and seminars will be organized to enlighten the people about the implementation of Right to Information Act in the state. Talitemjen also informed that the annual Hornbill Festival will be organized as usual during the first week of December.
