
Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): Withee Bible College, Darogajan, Dimapur, celebrated its 12th graduation ceremony on April 17 at the college campus. Rev. J. Uday Kumar, Assistant Regional Secretary, Asia Theological Association (India), was the Graduation Speaker. He urged the graduating students to hold on and preach the true Gospel rather than the cultural or traditional Gospel to suit their congregation. He spoke of the need for theologians to “go out” and reach the unreached with the gospel about the love of God and eternal salvation to mankind and bring the lost souls to Jesus Christ. He also pointed out Nagaland state has maximum Christians, theological colleges, and theological graduates (every year), yet it has low percentage of sending out missionaries, according to a press release received here. Altogether, 29 students graduated from the college - 2 from Diploma in Theology, 17 from Bachelor of Theology, 7 from Master of Missiology, and 3 from Master of Divinity. The Academic Excellence Awards were received by Yekatoli Chishi (among the Bachelor of Theology Class), Mughabeli Chishi Tungoe (among the Master of Divinity Class), and Kisheli H. Sumi (among the Master of Theology Class). The Best Discipline Award went to Vilika Sumi, Bachelor of Theology. The Chapel Attendance and Devotion Attendance Awards were given to Holivi Awomi, Master of Missiology and Lika Aye, Master of Divinity. Meanwhile, the Best Preaching Awards were received by Pau Sian Khang Mung (in the Bachelor of Theology Class), and H. Chimkila Yimchunger (in the Master of Missiology and Master of Divinity Class). Earlier, Rev. Dr. Vikheshe Chishi, Founder and Principal, Withee Bible College gave a welcome speech. The Valedictory speech was given by Mughabeli Chishi Tungoe, Master of Divinity. Rev. Dr. H. Zhimomi, Board Chairman, Withee Bible College and Executive Secretary, NPBCA, gave the Commissioning prayer, Ajongla Ao, Lecturer, Withee Bible College gave the Felicitation, and Rev. Judson Rungsung, Pastor, Tangkhul Baptist Church, Darogajan, pronounced the benediction.
