Zunheboto, January 27 (MExN): The 29th Sports Meet of Zunheboto Area Sports Association (ZASA) got underway at Local Ground and Indoor Stadium, Zunheboto on January 27 with Vice-President Sumi Hoho and former Chairman, Zunheboto Town Council, H. Khehoshe Yepthomi as the chief guest at the inaugural programme. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest thanked the pioneers for being farsighted in establishing the ZASA which is an apex body in Zunheboto area and for promoting sports for younger generations. Yepthomi also urged the players to create awareness and build relationship among areas and range through sports diplomacy while reminding them to play the tournament in true sportsmanship. The chief guest later declared the tournament open. President, Zunheboto Area Kukami Hoho (ZAKH), Vikaho T. Zhimo in his short speech encouraged the players and the area people to live up to the expectations of the society while extending his full support and cooperation to ZASA. The two day tournament will see 17 villages compete in volleyball and badminton.
