The 2nd Kohima Inter-Club T20 Tournament 2024 under the aegis of Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) entered the third day today at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
In the first match of the day, Kohima Hornbills won the match by 7 wickets.
Dapfhütsumia Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first.
Dapfhütsumia CC set a target of 97 runs 20 overs. Theja Pienyu of Dapfhütsumia CC scored 40 runs in 40 balls.
Sunep of Kohima Hornbills took 2 wickets, giving away 7 runs in 4 overs with 2 maidens.
Chasing a target of 97 runs, Kohima Hornbills comfortably chased down the target in 12.1 overs.
Hikato of Kohima Hornbills scored 12 runs in 12 balls, and Kekhrieselhou Kire of Dapfhütsumia CC took 2 wickets in 2 over.
Kohima Hornbills won the match by 7 wickets and booked their place in the final.
Sunep of Kohima Hornbills was declared the Man of the Match.
Elite Cricket Club won the second match by 7 wickets
Missionshire Cricket Club won the toss and elected bat first and scored 114, losing all wickets in 18.2 overs.
Kevilelie Khesoh scored 38 runs in 33 balls, and Ketoukhriezo Whourie scored 24 runs in 21 balls for Missionshire CC.
Kelhousielie of Elite Cricket Club took 3 wickets in 3.2 overs, and Tapitu of Elite CC took 3 wickets in 3 overs.
Chasing a target of 115, Elite Cricket Club comfortably chased down the target in 15.2 overs, losing only 3 wickets.
Imomenba of scored 52 runs in 52 balls while Zidu also contributed 30 runs in 14 balls for Elite Cricket Club. Ketoukhriezo Whourie of Missionashire CC took 2 wickets in 3 overs.
Elite Cricket Club won the match by 7 wickets and also secured a place in the final.
Kelhousielie was awarded the Man of the Match for his brilliant spell with 3 wickets in 3.2 overs, 1 maiden, and giving away only 19 runs.
Meanwhile, the finals of 2nd Kohima Inter-Club T20 Tournament will be played between Elite Cricket Club and Kohima Hornbills on November 22 at 11:00 am at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.
