302 PwDs registered during assessment camps

Dimapur, November 7 (MExN): Assessment camps for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) were held for four days from October 31 to November 3 in Kohima and Dimapur. The camps were organized under the CSR program of ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India), Kanpur in collaboration with DDRC (District Disability Rehabilitation Center), Dimapur.  

Altogether, 302 PwDs were assessed and registered during the camps held at Razhükhrie Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kohima; DDRC, Dimapur; Zion Hospital and Research Center; and Chumukedima Town Committee Hall.  

The distribution of aids and appliances for those registered will be held in January 2018, informed a press release from Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum, MD (PMR) and SMO i/c of DDRC, Dimapur District Hospital.  

Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum in the press release acknowledged the support provided by various government agencies and NGOs in the successful completion of the camps.
