

PSA bags men’s basketball, women’s volleyball championships

Phek Sports Association (PSA) today emerged as the champions of the men’s basketball as well as women’s volleyball events on the third day of the 31st Sports Meet 2021 of Phek Area Sports Association (PASA) at Tuzatsu village.
In the men’s basketball final, PSA defeated Lozaphuhu Sports Association (LSA) while they beat Phek Basa Sports Association (PBSA) in the women’s volleyball final.
Dzupono Venuh of PSA fetched the first hat-trick of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Shurhoneyi Soho of PSA broke his own previous record in discus throw. He set the new record at 28.88 metres.
Vephilü Hoshi of PSA also created a new record in the 100 metres dash clocking in at 13.81 second.
The meet will conclude on March 12. Er Shekhotso Keyho, AE, Urban Development Phek will grace the valedictory function. The function will be chaired by PASA Vice President, Thupukuyi Venuh while vote of thanks will be proposed by PASA General Secretary, Zhokhochi Vese.
