31st Pilgrim Higher Secondary sports meet held

Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): Pilgrim Higher Secondary, Dimapur hosted its two days 31st annual sports meet on November 5 and 6 at its school ground which was attended by the students, parents/guardian of the school. 

The highlights of the first day included welcome address by the principal Kaini Khekho Kikon. The special guest for the ceremony, Wochamo Odyuo, Additional Commissioner of Taxes, Dimapur District, Government of Nagaland, hoisted the School flag as well as took the salute from the march past contingent.

Later, addressing the participants, the special guest landed Pilgrim Hr. Secondary for being one of the premier school in Nagaland when it comes to providing qualitative education. He also spoke on the two vices that is hampering the Naga students, namely procrastination and complacency. He further went on to say that hard work and sincerity will always bring positive result. 

The final day of the annual sports meet included various sporting events with Green Hornet House emerging as the overall champion. The closing ceremony was the Administrator of Pilgrim Hr. Secondary, Bithungo Kikon, exhorting the students giving the mantre “Never Give up” taking the example of Thomas Edison and Alexander Fleming who persevered in times of failure. He finally did the de-hoisting of the School flag and declared the sports meet closed.
