32nd Leo Club int’l TT tournament concludes

Winners of the 32nd Leo Club international table tennis tournament.

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 29 (MExN): The 32nd Leo Club international table tennis tournament concluded on Sunday.

In the boys singles final, Lakshay Jain of Hollotoli School defeated Ricky Hinglak of St. Edmund Higher Secondary school. In doubles, Lakshya Sethi and Kanishq Jain of Hollotoli School defeated Tushar Jain and  Samyak Jain of Delhi public school.

In girls singles, Nancy Oinam of Holy Cross School defeated Kashvi Sethi of Maple Tree School

In doubles, Kashvi Sethi and Amongla Lemtur of Maple Tree School defeated Nancy Oinam and Vestal Sankharu of Holy Cross School.

The tournament was conducted under the chairmanship of  Vishal Patni and presidentship of Vishal Pareek. The closing ceremony was graced by Rotary president, Ashok Kr Agarwal as the chief guest. He lauded the efforts of the Leo Club of Dimapur for keeping the tournament rolling for 32 years and thus providing an exclusive platform to the young players of the state.

Guest of honour of the closing ceremony was Pinky Agarwal, President of Innerwheel Club of Dimapur. She congratulated all the winners as well as the participants who couldn't achieve any victory and told them never to give up and come as a stronger participant in the next year. She appreciated the work Leo Club of Dimapur for organising the tournament from the last 32 Years.

During the tournament, the Best Discipline Trophy was awarded to SD Jain Higher Secondary School. The inaugural song was also performed by SD Jain Higher Secondary School.

On the occasion, the results of the Slogan Contest were also declared. The first prize was given to MGM Higher Secondary School; the second prize to Don Bosco Higher Secondary School; and the third prize to St. Mary's Higher Secondary School.
