36th KGSA tournament begins

Zhaleo Rio, Advisor, Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs, declaring the 36th Kuhuboto Ghakhu Sports Association tournament at Lotovi village open on October 29.
 

Lotovi, October 29 (MExN): The 36th Kuhuboto Ghakhu Sports Association (KGSA) tournament began on October 29 with Zhaleo Rio, Advisor, Sericulture, Excise & Minority Affairs as the honoured guest at Lotovi village. 
The tournament includes volleyball for both men and women as the main event, along with football for men. It will conclude on November 2.


Speaking as the special guest, Rio acknowledged the efforts of leaders who organised such an event for a conglomerate of 24 villages in the area. He called upon the people to know more about one another in good faith and positive ways during the progress of the tournament. 


Taking the opportunity, Rio also dwelt on the aspects of communitisation, especially in health, drinking water, education, electricity, sanitation, etc. where leaders, villagers as well as elders and parents should understand about the policies of the government and work together for the welfare of the people. 


Rio advised all young sportsmen never to hang their boots even after the tournament but to sweat it out until they taste success in the long run. "You should never neglect your talents and your aspirations but on the other hand, other factors too are responsible to climb the ladder of success" he opined and added that "to shine in life, one should be committed for 99% perspiration while a mere 1% is simply, a matter of luck." 


Rio also stressed on the importance of good health or physical fitness of a sportsmen, dedication and commitment to excel and above all, having faith in God which are key components to achieve one's goal in life. He advised leaders, elders and parents to cultivate the culture of encouraging, motivating and guiding young sportsmen in order to groom them into successful people in future. 


Rio further emphasised on the importance of unity and lauded the spirit of unity among Sumi Nagas while requesting them to share the same spirit outside their families, villages and boundaries to bring about prosperity, unity and peace in all spheres of life.
