39th Session of the Mopong Hongkong Students’ Union Sports Meet and Literary Week was held from January 8-15 at Mopong Town.

MON, JANUARY 18 (MExN): The 39th Session of the Mopong Hongkong Students’ Union (MHSU) Sports Meet and Literary Week, held from January 8-15 at Mopong Town, concluded with great success, bringing together participants from eight federating units. The event, held under the theme "Compete to Excel, Participate to Unite," witnessed An exciting mix of sports and literary competitions, highlighting the talent, sportsmanship, and creativity of the young participants.
The week-long event saw a vibrant atmosphere as athletes competed in various sports, including football, volleyball, Sepaktakraw, table tennis, badminton, and athletics. In addition to the sports events, the literary competitions, such as drawing, haiku, quartet, essay, and handicraft, provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their artistic and intellectual skills.
The Changnyu Students Union emerged as the Overall Champion of the 2025 edition, demonstrating exceptional performance across multiple events.
A special highlight of the event was the 3rd Edition of Mr. & Miss MHSU, held on January 13, under the theme "The Epitome of Grace and Power." Ngangnyei A Konyak from the Yakshu Students Union and Rose A Konyak from the Changnyu Students Union were crowned as Mr. & Miss MHSU 2025.
The event was graced by W Chingang Konyak, Advisor for Geology and Mining and DUDA, serving as the inaugural guest. A Nyamnyei Konyak, MLA, was the special guest at the valedictory function, and Rosemary Nyamnyei was the special invitee for the 3rd Edition of Mr. & Miss MHSU.
