3rd Cancer Survivors Day observed in Kohima

Cancer survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals and families today observed 3rd annual Cancer Survivors Day at Hotel Vivor, Kohima.

Cancer Survivors Day serves as a worldwide forum bringing together cancer survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and families who share a unified commitment to mitigating the impact of cancer.

Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu Chielie, Cancer Surgeon & Trustee, Dr.K&T Keditsu Foundation said that Padma Shree Neidonuo Angami has initiated Cancer Survivors Fellowship in Nagaland in 2022 for sharing experiences and supporting each other.

Cancer Survivors Day is observed globally on the first Sunday of June each year.

This year programme was organised by Dr. K & T Keditsu Foundation in collaboration with Rev. Moa Longchari Cancer Foundation with support from Cancer Survivors Fellowship, Putuonuo Hospital Kohima, The Speciality  Pharma, Vivor Hotel and donors & well wishers.

The programme witnessed sharing of survivor stories of hope and resilience from Seyiekobei Rutsa , Khanai Rova and Neisanyii Vihienuo.
Sharing on caregiver reflections, Bokali Haralu talked on the strength behind the battle.

Neivolieii Solo Jamatia chaired the programme while Kevisiezolie Suohu invoked God's blessings.

Khrieselhou Bos Metha, worship team leader of Cross Connection Outreach Missions led the worship time.

Truism group led by Thejasenuo Kire (Caregiver) & friends presented special number.

As celebration of life, the gathering observed thanksgiving mass prayer for the survivors and caregivers.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Temjen Longkumer, Treasurer  & Executive member, RML Cancer Foundation.
