Resource persons, organizers and participants at the 3rd CNE held in Wokha.

WOKHA, MAY 1 (MExN): The Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Board, Wokha, organized the 3rd Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programme on April 29 and 30 at Likya Community Hall, Wokha, under the theme “Nursing Profession: Ethical and Legal Issues in Nursing, Enhancing Effective Communication (IPR), Neonatal Assessment and Management of Normal Labour.”
A total of 75 delegates participated in the two-day event. The inaugural session was graced by Dr Mhonchan Kithan, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Wokha, and Rev Fr TC Joseph, Principal of DBHSS, who both encouraged the nurses to pursue lifelong learning and remain committed to professional development.
The sessions were led by resource persons including Dr J. John Kent, Senior Paediatrician; Premy Nchumbeni Ezung; and Kethozenuo Mere. They imparted subject-specific knowledge and practical skills aimed at enhancing the competency of the participating nurses.
CNE Organising Secretary, Lireni C Tungoe, expressed gratitude to all participants for their active involvement. She emphasized the importance of continuous learning and urged the nurses to make use of such opportunities to improve their professional competence, thereby contributing to the upliftment of the nursing profession.
