3rd inter-dept sports meet Bhandari 2021 concludes

Wokha, February 26 (MExN): The third edition of inter-departmental sports meet, Bhandari, 2021 in support of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, which started on February 23, concluded on February 25.

Orenthung Lotha, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha graced the closing day as the valedictory guest.

Applauding the civil administration, Bhandari for holding the sports meet in continuous manner, the DC said that it has become an event to look forward to and a platform for government departments and the public to converge with objective to cooperate and strengthen relations for good governance and delivering efficient services to the public for a collective progress.

In the final football match, both men and women defending champions7NAP teams defeated Engineering Team and Education Department to win the title yet again. 

In Badminton, 7NAP won the doubles event while Engineering team emerged as runners up.

Administration and Police emerged as the champions in mixed double leaving IPR and Agri as runners up.

In Tug of war (men), Government officials defeated the Civil Societies team whereas in ladies team, Eloe Hoho defeated the Government Servants team. Wokha District BBBP theme song was sung by 7th NAP.

Expressing gratitude, EAC Head Quarter, and Convener, organizing committee, Dr Riku Khutso thanked Mmhonlumo Kikon, BJP national spokesperson and Advisor IT&C, S&T, NRE and Deputy Commissioner, Wokha for their support and contributions towards the meet.
