The Mokokchung District T20 Cricket Federation is all set to organize the third edition of the Master Shield Trophy 2019 where 8 teams will be vying for the title at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung beginning February 20. The Master Shield Trophy was unveiled here today at Hotel Metsüben by retired NCS officer, Alemjungshi Longkumer in the presence of players from the participating teams, organizers and well-wishers. Drawing of lot for the tournament’s fixtures was also done today where defending champions Skylark CC, Trebuchet CC, Cricket Lovers Club from Wokha and former champions Titans CC were grouped in Pool A while Vincent A, Vincent B, Vikings CC and Tritons from Dimapur were grouped in Pool B.
There will be an exhibition match to be played between Mokokchung Town Lanur Telungjem (MTLT) and the organizers after the formal inaugural programme at 10:00 am tomorrow, following which the torunament’s first match will be played between Skylark CC and Trebuchet CC.
