Mokokchung, October 14 (MExN): YouthNet in partnership with Alder Tours is starting India’s FAA Homestay Training Program under Piadhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) in Mokokchung. The inaugural function will be held on October 16 at Longkumer Kilem with DC Mokokchung Sushil Kumar as the chief guest.
The training will be for 410 hours which includes theory, practical and on the job training. The training will cover topics like basic customer service, how to communicate with guests from different cultures, how to run and maintain a homestay, marketing of their homestay in order to enhance income opportunities.
The organisers have invited everyone who is running homestays guest house or would like to start their own Homestays to come and be it part of the training. During and after the training we will assist the homestay owners to register on travel sites viz Dialnagaland.con, MakeMyTrip, Oyo rooms and Airbnb etc. There will be an assessment at the end of the training and the participants will be certified by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) after successfully clearing the assessment.
