Mokokchung, July 9 (MExN): 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a friendly volleyball match between local players of Longtho village and troops of 44 Assam Rifles on July 7. The match was organised by Assam Rifles to extend an opportunity to the locals to showcase their talent in sports and interact with troops, stated a press release from PRO, HQ IGAR (N). Major B Mayur Raj of 44 Assam Rifles addressed the gathering and emphasised that sports develop physical, mental and social abilities of an individual, team spirit and sense of belongingness. He also extended his gratitude to all present for their trust and support to Assam Rifles.
