49 new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland

DIMAPUR, September 3 (MExN): 49 new cases of COVID19 were reported out of 708 samples tested in Nagaland on September 3. The new cases include 24 in Dimapur, 24 in Kohima and 1 in Mon. 

The total number of cases detected in the State now stands at 4,066. 

Meanwhile, 101 recoveries were also reported in the State on the same day, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,314. The State now has 732 active cases while the official death toll stands at 8.  

Out of the 4,066 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are 1,726 cases from armed forces, 1,278 cases from returnees, 297 cases from frontline workers and 765 cases from traced contacts.

Meanwhile, a total of 39,769 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR, and results of 38,681 samples have been received. Through TrueNat, the results of 23, 638 samples have been received. In addition through Rapid Antigen Test, 840 samples have been tested.

A total of 1,080 persons are presently under facility quarantine.
