The 4th Nokdenlemba Open Volleyball Trophy organized by the Ao Student's Conference (AKM) got underway at Multi-purpose Sports Complex, Mokokchung on January 18.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Temsuchuba Jamir, SDO (Civil), Mokokchung. In his speech, Temsuchuba congratulated the AKM for keeping the visions of Nokdenlemba alive and for successfully organizing the Trophy for the fourth time.
He said that Mokokchung District has been consistently participating and winning trophies in Volleyball and that more efforts and focus should be given in the field.
The first match of the tournament was played between Warumong Sports Association, Jangjanglong and Kumlong Sporting Association A. Kumlong Sports Association A won the match by winning both the sets 25/19-25/19.
All together 12 teams are participating in the tournament which will conclude on January 20.
