MEDZIPHEMA, FEBRUARY 15 (MExN): The 4th Referee Recruitment Drive successfully concluded on February 14 in Medziphema. Organized by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) in collaboration with the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the 2025 edition of the Referee Recruitment course was hosted by the Chümoukedima District Football Referee Board (CDFRB).
The course was conducted by Joychandra Singh, AIFF Referee Instructor, with assistance from Medozevi Punyü, AIFF Referee Instructor (Category C).
A total of 33 men and 6 women from various districts participated in the five-day event: Peren (10), Tseminyu (2), Tuensang (4), Wokha (5), Phek (1), Zunheboto (2), Chümoukedima (7), Kiphire (2), Dimapur (1), Noklak (2), Longleng (1), and Meluri (2).
The main objective of the course was to build the next generation of well-trained and professional referees to elevate the game of football in the region. The program included theoretical classes, physical tests, practical sessions, and a viva-voce. The closing ceremony was graced by Sunep Ao, Joint Secretary of NFA, and Kutu Sekhose, Head of Referees, NFA.
