Dimapur, October 3 (MExN): The 5 Assembly Constituency of Congress Committees (ACCCs) and frontals has declared that it will no longer accept the leadership of Jonathan as NPCC Vice President, who is also taking charge over Dimapur district.
In a press release, 2 Dimapur II/AC stated that the present crisis prevailing within the Congress party workers under Dimapur District was due to the unconstitutional appointment made by Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) President K Therie, “as proposed by Jonathan without the proper knowledge and consent of 5 ACCCs and frontals and without following party's constitution rejecting the proposal made by party majority decision.”
The 5 ACCCs and frontals have urged the All India Congress Committee Nagaland (AICCN) in-charge to immediately intervene over the prevailing issue and settle the matter amicably once and for all.
Until the matter was resolved, the ACCCs and frontals shall not listen to the directives or any official order from NPCC, it asserted. The Committees contended that since Congress party was the only party that strictly follows the party's protocol and functions systematically, there was “no point of questioning to reconsider Jonathan as to be the vice president of NPCC again.” In order to sustain the party in Nagaland, the 5ACCCs and frontals has demanded his immediate resignation from the post of Vice President NPCC on moral ground, it stated, while it also demanded immediate revocation of the appointment being made against Tsenthungo Lotha as President of DDCC. It further made an appeal to NPCC President, Therie to reconsider the proposal made by the 5 ACCCs and frontals to appoint Kikhevi Yeptho as President of (DDCC), stating that the “proposal was made in principle by unanimous decision by all the party workers of 5ACCCs and frontals.”
