Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): The 5 Assam Rifles has arrested one NSCN (K) cadre from general area of Hekiye Village, under Zunheboto on November 1, a PRO HQ IGAR (North) release said.
The cadre was arrested when the 5 AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) launched an operation along with a police representative based on specific information regarding presence of the cadre, it said.
The AR identified the cadre as Kiyeto Kinimi (33), a resident of Aichisaghemi, in Zunheboto District and the ‘Finance Secretary’ of Zunheboto Region.
He revealed that was a member of NSCN (K) since 2008, the release said adding that a rifle as well as live ammunitions were recovered from him.
He was handed over to Police Station Zunheboto for further investigation along with the recovered items,
