A two long 53rd Games & Sports Meet 2025 of the Angami Sports Association (ASA) concluded today at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

Gracing the valedictory programme as the guest of honour, Angami Public Organization (APO) president Thejao Vihienuo commended ASA for the successful conduct of the meet and bringing the sportspersons together for a healthy competition and celebration of physical strength.

Maintaining that sports personalities are the pride and strength of the Angami community, he called upon the budding sportspersons to strive for excellence in the different sports disciplines.

“We are proud of you,” Vihienuo said and at the same time asked the sportspersons to maintain a goodwill attitude and always walk on the right track path to succeed in life.

Four ranges- Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA), Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA),
Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) and Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) vied for top honours in football, volleyball and Sepaktakraw in this two day long meet.

Vihienuo gave away prize to the winners of football event while Kesosul Christopher Ltu, president
Angami Youth Organization and Neithono Sothu, president Angami Women Organization gave away prize to the winners of Sepaktakraw and volleyball event respectively.

The football event was officiated by Kohima District Football Referee Board while Kohima District Volleyball Association and Nagaland Sepaktakraw Referee Association officiated volleyball and Sepaktakraw event respectively.

The closing ceremony was chaired by ASA vice president (Org) Thinovilie Keyho while vote of thanks was proposed by ASA general secretary Menguphrezo Ziephrii.

Ziephrii thanked all the patrons, prize sponsors, match officials, Youth Resources & Sports department,
Kohima deputy commissioner, Nagaland Football Association, First aid team, frontal organizations and all the individuals for the success of the meet.
