56th CCSA general session in Sakraba underway

The 56th general session of the Centre Chakhesang Sports Association (CCSA) got underway under the theme “Empowering youth through sports” at Sakraba on January 20.

Gracing the inaugural programme as the special guest, KG Kenye, Minister for power and parliamentary affairs encouraged the sportsperson to do well and not to be discouraged as the government has also been trying to bring out its best policy to support the sportsperson in the state. He called upon the youth to stay connected with the good traditions and culture of the forefathers. He also stressed on the need to invest in productive and developmental events and programs. Young leaders should think for posterity and frame good road map for better future, Kenye said.

Greeting was shared by Shepo Dzudo, President, Centre Chakhesang Public Organization while CCSA President, Veposü Nienu delivered presidential address. CCSA Games and Sports Secretary, Kuvetho Gietsa administered oath to the participating teams.

Earlier, CCSA Vice President, Vesuto D Vadeo chaired the inaugural ceremony while acknowledgement of the dignitaries was led by CCSA General Secretary, Krosanyi Thuluo.

The session will conclude on January 25 with MLA Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso as the valedictory guest.
