The 60th meet of the Tizu Area Sports Association (TASA) reached its fourth day today at the Tizu Area Sports Complex in Khuza town, located in Phek district. In athletics, the men’s triple long jump event saw Kuduto Lohe of Tehephu take first place, followed by Yoto Vero of Khuza in second, and Tsutu Vero of Chepoketa in third. In the mixed 4x400 relay, Kutsapo claimed victory, with Chepoketa and Mutsale finishing second and third, respectively.

In the 6th Group League men’s football, Suthotsu’s Rayi Veswu scored a hat trick in the first half, leading his team to a 5-1 victory over Sohomi. The quarterfinals saw Khuza defeat Tehephu 1-0 in the first match, while Khutsokhuno thrashed Mutsale 5-0 in the second, with Veduto Lohe of Khutsokhuno scoring a hat trick. Chepoketa blanked Suthotsu 4-0 in the third, and Kizari secured a 2-1 win against Kutsapo in the final quarterfinal.

In women’s basketball, Tehephu triumphed over Khutsokhuno in the first semifinal, and Chepoketa defeated Kutsapo in the second. In the final, Tehephu emerged victorious, winning the women’s basketball title and receiving a cash prize of Rs. 17,500, sponsored by TASA. Chepoketa, as runner-up, took home the Yekhusayi Rhakho Memorial Trophy with a cash prize of Rs. 13,000.
In the men’s basketball semifinals, Kutsapo will face Khuza, while Chepoketa will meet Tehephu.

In volleyball, Khuza won their men’s league round match against Kutsapo, and Tehephu defeated Suthotsu. The men’s volleyball quarterfinals saw Khutsokhuno defeat Sohomi, and Tehephu overpower Kizari.

In women’s volleyball, Chepoketa triumphed over Khuza in the league round. The first quarterfinal saw Kutsapo beat Suthotsu, and Mutsale defeated Tehephu in the second. Khutsokhuno won against Khuza in the third quarterfinal, and Chepoketa beat Sohomi in the fourth.

In men’s basketball knockout matches, Chepoketa defeated Kizari, Kutsapo beat Sohomi, Tehephu triumphed over Suthotsu, and Khuza secured a victory over Mutsale. Kutsapo advanced after defeating Khutsokhuno.

In women’s football, Khutsokhuno won their knockout match against Kizari, while Khuza triumphed over Kutsapo in a penalty shootout, winning 1-0.
