Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The 68th Wildlife Week was observed by Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP) in collaboration with Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) India on October 7 and 8 at the NZP campus. 

The two-day event was flagged off with conservation insights from the chief guest, Ved Pal Singh, IFS, Chief Wildlife Warden and Addl Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Nagaland and Director of Nagaland Zoological Park, Dr C Zupeni Tsanglai. 

A total of 120 students from Unity College, Tetso College, Eastern Christian College and St Joseph's University participated in a series of events including face mask painting competition, wildlife quiz, a pledge signing campaign and distribution of information leaflets. The chief guest handed out the prizes to the winners.

The Administration of TSA India Program, Lucknow in a press release, stated that the students were motivated enough to interact with zoo visitors themselves and spread the news of wildlife conservation. The chief guest also inaugurated two electric rickshaws for senior and child visitors at the zoo.
