6th FIA Open Taekwondo C’ship: Immanuel Taekwondo Academy declared team champions

Dimapur, November 3 (mexn): With 18 Gold, 10 Silver, and 14 Bronze medals, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy was declared the team Champions of the 6th Faith in Action (FIA) Open Taekwondo Championship organised by FIA International Taekwondo Academy. 


St Stephens Hr. Sec. School was in the placed second with 7 Gold 7 Silver and 13 Bronze Medals. 


The third place was bagged by Westside School with  7 Gold 8 Silver and 12 Bronze Medals.


The Nagaland Pencak Silat Association’s promoted championship was held at Dimapur Government College, Auditorium, Dimapur from November 1-2, a press release from FIA informed. 


Altogether 258 players and 30 officials took part in the Championship. The participating institutions and academies were:  St. Joseph Global School, Westside School, Christian Hr. Sec. School, Pranabananda Women’s College, St. Stephen’s Hr. Sec. School, Carmel Hr. Sec. School, Vision Home Hr. Sec. School, Oracle School, St. Marys Hr. Sec. School, St. Thomas Hr. Sec. School, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy and PT- Academy, Tripura. 


The winning trophy was handed over to the champions by Vikheho Awomi, Former DMC Chairman, the release said.                                                                                          

 

Individual Awards: 


Best of the Best Fighter (Boys) – Imnatoshi Longkumer, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy
Best of the Best Fighter (Girls)- Liike Kibami, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy 
Best Referee–  Asa V. Chishi and Kivin.
Player of the Year (Boys) - Vihuka Aye, St.Stephens’ Hr. Sec. School.
Player of the Year (Girls)- Zouzam Yala, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy.
Best Discipline Award - Westside School.
Best Active Team - St.Stephen’s Hr. Sec. School.

 

Individual Awards were also being given to Best Fighters in 8 male and female divisions. There were: 


1. Sub-Junior Boys- Smaiham Langthasa, Westside School.
2. Sub-Junior Girls – Anna Sumi, Carmel School.
3. Cadet Boys – Pongyan Phom, Vision Home School.
4. Cadet Girls – Alokali V. Awomi, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy.
5. Junior Boys – Puloto Swu, St. Stephens School.
6. Junior Girls – Nongyan Konyak, St. Stephens School.
7. Senior Boys- Kitenlo K. Thono, Immanuel Taekwondo Academy.
8. Senior Girls- Hinokali, Pranabananda Women’s College.
