Head Hunters FC (164 Naga TA) and Mez & Co FC (Kohima) today registered win in their respective matches on day 5 of the ongoing 8th edition of Capt. N Kenguruse Memorial Football Tournament 2024 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Head Hunters FC-5, Royal Naga FC-0
Head Hunters FC blanked Royal Naga FC (Chumoukedima) 5-0 in the first match of the day.
Lamsanggin opened the account for Head Hunters FC in the 16th minute while Chingsha connected two goals for the team in the 58th and 68th minute.
Haidingbe and Molutsupong also contributed a goal each in the 59th and 75th minute respectively.
Head Hunters FC delivered a commanding performance, securing a clean sheet and progressing confidently to the quarterfinals.
Their next test will be against Western Sumi SA, a showdown that promises to be an intense battle for a semifinal spot.
Mez & Co FC- 11, Velocity Vipers FC-0
Mez & Co FC defeated Velocity Vipers FC (Mon) 11-0 in the 2nd match.
Mez & Co FC dominated from the start, showcasing their offensive depth and solidifying their title contender status with a resounding 11-0 victory.
Gideon fetched a hattrick for Mez & Co FC in the 18th, 48th, and 60th minute.
Tohika, Vinato and Neikethozo netted two goals each.
Further, the team gained a goal each from the booths of Yitachu and Noune.
