The fixture for 8th edition of Captain N Kenguruse (MVC) Memorial Football Tournament 2024 was drawn today.
The tournament will take place from November 2 to 12 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Hosted by Indian Army and Assam Rifles in collaboration with Nagaland Football Association under ‘Operation Sadbhavana,’ the tournament honors the legacy of Captain N. Kenguruse, MVC (Posthumous), whose valor continues to inspire the nation.
This annual event not only celebrates sportsmanship but also fosters unity and camaraderie.
The team fixture draw programme took place at Chieswema Garrison of Assam Rifles in the presence of K Neibou Sekhose, president, Nagaland Football Association (NFA), Kevingutuo Sekhose, Head of Referees Nagaland and Roko Angami, NFA’s director of coaches and president, Nagaland Football Coaches Association.
17 teams across Nagaland will join the tournament.
The team includes; Naga FC (Kohima), Young Generation FC Yikhum (Wokha), Sports Society Soyim FC (Mokokchung), Velocity Vipers FC (Mon), Dynamo FC (Dimapur), Viswemi FC (Kohima), Lengreng FC (Peren), Peace United FC (Phek), Western Sumi Sports (Niuland), Vanguard FC (Tseminyu), Royal Naga FC (Chümoukedima), Headhunters FC (164 INF BN TA), Mez & Co FC (Kohima), St Xavier College (Peren), Halcyon FC (Phek), King Hornet FC (Zunheboto) and Maverick FC (Mon).
