Peren, November 24 (MExN): The 9th Letkhotong Hangsing memorial volleyball trophy got underway at Public Ground Ahthibung, on November 24.
Sponsored by Recreation Club Ahthibung (RCA), the 9th edition of the volleyball trophy began with 24 teams in participation, according to a press statement from the Assistant Secretary RCA, Chungminthang Singson.
The brief opening function was attended by public leaders, GBs, Town Committee members, and members of trophy donor's family besides others, the release informed.
Kamhen Chongloi chaired the opening function while with exhortation speech was delivered by Honoured Guest of the event, Lamneithem Hangsing, Assistant Professor, Agri College, SASSRD Medziphema, and the donor’s family.
Earlier in the programme, RCA Chairman Tonga Hangsing delivered the welcome address.
