Dimapur, July 25 (MExN): The unprecedented rise in the prices of essential commodities and petrol-diesel-LPG is a “serious matter of concern” and if left unchecked, would affect the plight of the denizens even more than the present pandemic, Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum has stated.
The increase especially at a time when most of the denizens are affected by the restrictions owing to the pandemic and struggling to earn their livelihood is concerning, the Forum noted in press release from its media cell.
Accordingly, it urged the authorities and all the concerned to act responsibly and put a check on the rise in the prices of the commodities especially during this pandemic.
“Be part of the fight during this pandemic with the people, rather than increase the plight of the already affected denizens,” it added.
