Mokokchung, October 8 (MExN): ABAM Women Ministry’s 6th triennial conference was held from October 6-8 under the theme, ‘Towards purity.’ Prof. Alongla P. Aier of OTS, Dimapur and Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger, Executive Secretary, ABAM were the resource persons.
According to a press release, the resource persons stated that no amount of human effort can purify “us” from iniquities except by the power of God. They called on all the women to be perseverant in doing what is right and to do justice before God and men.
The resource persons further encouraged to run away from the love of money, which they said easily destroys one’s spiritual standard, but run after holiness so that “we can be safe from so many evil activities.”
The programme included ‘prayer table,’ where 30 prayer groups scattered in and around Impur and made their supplications before God by adopting seven methods of prayer of Godly people in Bible, the release said.
The objective of the prayer table was to thank, intercede, and plead for forgiveness from God sincerely to cleanse Nagaland from all iniquities, it added.
Altogether, 1200 delegates from 141 churches attended the conference.
