The Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) is all set to hold its Quinquennial conference on January 18 and 19 at Kohima Local Ground.This was announced today by ABCC Quinquennial conference convenor Rev.Dr Kevichalie Metha through a press conference at ABCC conference hall, Mission compound Kohima.
The conference is held after every five years. This year’s conference will be held under the theme “Arise, Shine” Isaya 60:1. Rev Dr Metha informed that there are 111 churches under ABCC with more than 5000 members.
The first day of the conference will be marked by flag hoisting at 9:00 AM at the ABCC Mission Centre followed by the main program at Kohima Local Ground at 10:00 AM.
There will be an exclusive program on Focus group for all churches departments on the first day. This will be held in 5 locations; Ao Baptist Church Kohima, Local ground, Rengma Baptist Church Kohima, Sümi Baptist Church Kohima, Union Baptist Church Kohima.
The second day programme is open to all the members of ABCC and expecting more than 8000 congregation. Rev Dr Rachülie Vihienuo mentioned that this year they had selected the conference theme as they want to focus on the renewal of the Churches. This year, the focus is on renewal and revitalisation, he said. The speakers will include Kolkata Bible Church pastor Rev Dr Ashok Andrew and Rev Dr Rachülie Vihienuo.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and other leaders of the Angami have been invited to the conference and a special prayer session will be held for them. Azonuo Ciezotsu had also stressed on the importance of the focus group as this will be very helpful and important for the leaders of all churches.
