Wokha, May 23 (MExN): Wokha-based Acoustic Club will be managing the concert for the band ‘About Us’ as part of their promotional tour which will kick start from Wokha on June 3.
The much-awaited full-time concert by the About Us band will be held at Tiyi Hall, Wokha on June 3 starting from 5:00 pm informed the Acoustic Club, President, Nzanbemo Patton during the press conference held at Hotel Morashen, Wokha on May 23.
According to DIPR report, Patton informed that this is not just a concert but a celebration of a breakthrough and achievement in the field of music. He also stated that in collaboration with the District Administration, Wokha with Deputy Commissioner Orenthung Lotha as the chief host together with Sr. PS to Deputy Chief Minister, Hachio Patton as the chief patron who is also the event sponsor. The band will also be felicitated during the concert to be conducted at Wokha the native town of the band.
Event partners for the concert are Aisle Sound Force and Lights-Audio Gears, Tsungiki Student’s Union, Gracious event Planners, Hotel Morashen, Wokha, Video production partners (Darius & Ryan production studio), Achano Tungoe Photography, Ete Coffee-for complimentary special coffee for the gallery tickets, Naga Traditional Corner-Api Yanthan and other many more individual sponsors.
After the ’20s All Girls Rock Band and Giedion Kithan a sensational 7 years old guitarist will appear as a supporting act during the concert.
Tickets ranging from Rs300, Rs 500 and Rs1000 will be available at Bravo School of Music located at Wokha Village Wothok Ki near police point Wokha, the concert venue (Tiyi Hall Wokha) which has a seating capacity of about 1500 is expected to be fully packed with the audience to witness the show.
To make the event to a new standard and to give the best listening experience of the sounds and lights on the show apart from the songs the organizers assured to provide temporary Acoustic treatment by the technical partners, Live Sound Production, and lighting designs.
This concert will be the second major musical event organized by the Acoustic Club Wokha, the first one being the “Doyang Rhythms- Music by the Lake” which was held the last year in 2021 at Doyang conducted in collaboration with TaFMA.
The band is expected to perform 13 to 18 songs, which they will be performing their originals, Yanithung a new member of the band who will be on the drums will be joining the band on stage for the first time. Mentioned may also be made that the band-About Us has recently signed a contract with an Italian-based Frontier Records, and they are preparing an acoustic version of their originals for their Japan tour.
