ACAUT lauds SAPO’s decision on relinquishing taxes

Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): The ACAUT Nagaland today lauded the Southern Angami Public Organisation’s (SAPO) decision “relinquish levied taxes on local products since British era at the Phesama gate in the interest of the public from October 1.”

A resolution regarding the same was adopted recently by the governing body of the 13 villages under SAPO made resolution in Jakhama village.

Through the ‘landmark decision,’ SAPO has come out in support for the anti-taxation movement of the people and the government policies on taxation restrictions, the ACAUT Nagaland stated in a press release from its Media Cell.

It further expressed its appreciation that the SAPO would be on “constant vigil to take stern action against any  form of taxation by organisations under their jurisdiction.”

Such exemplary and magnanimous resolution with definite action plan should be followed by Nagas everywhere for a just, prosperous and a peaceful society, it added.
