The golden jubilee celebration of the Angami Christian Revival Youth Association (ACRYA) began on January 25 at D. Khel Ground (Seikhazou), Kohima village. Over 2000 delegates from all the Angami regions attended the opening ceremony of the Golden Jubilee on January 25 with Rev. Dr. Neikedozo Paphino as the main speaker.The jubilee monolith was also inaugurated at the ACRCC Mission Center.
Rev. Dr. Neikedozo Paphino spoke on the theme of “Put out in deep water, and let down the nets for a catch” based on Luke 5: 4.
Following the formation of the Nagaland Christian Revival Church in 1962, the church felt the need to nurture and establish young leaders to fellowship in the principles and teachings of Christian beliefs. Following various initiatives and discussions, the ACRYA was official formed in 1969 at the Christian Revival Church, Kohima village with Psalms 126: 3 “The Lord has done great things for us” as its motto.
Earlier, the ACRYA was known under different nomenclatures such as the Angami Christian Youth Fellowship, Kohima District Christian Revival Youth Fellowship. The ACRYA nomenclature officially came into use only in 2006.
