Zunheboto, May 7 (MExN): In view of ongoing road construction and restoration works, the administration has issued travel advisories restricting traffic movement along key routes in the Zunheboto district.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Aghunato, Hotolu Sema has informed that due to restoration work at Km 20.210 near Lukhuyimi Village on the Zunheboto-Aghunato-Kiphire road, movement of all heavy vehicles is restricted for a period of 25 days with effect from May 7.
During this period, only light vehicles will be allowed along the affected stretch. Heavy vehicles are advised to take the Luthsumi Village Road (Km 18.000) as an alternative.
Meanwhile, the ADC Atoizu has notified that the road from Khubokita to Asukhuto will remain temporarily closed for one month starting May 2, owing to reports of rockslides along the excavation site on the Coco Doyang–Asukhuto (Atoizu B) route. The closure is aimed at minimising risk to travellers.
Commuters are advised to take the alternate route via Khubokita–Lhocheki–Naghuto New–Asukhuto (Atoizu B) and vice versa until further notice.
