Nagaland to launch upgraded PIMS 2.0 on Oct 21

Dimapur, October 18 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has announced the official rollout of the upgraded Personnel Information Management System (PIMS 2.0), set to go live on October 21, 2026.

According to an Office Memorandum issued by Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, on October 17, 2026, the original web-enabled PIMS application had been in operation since April 21, 2016, to handle the administrative lifecycle of state employees from their date of joining until retirement.

With the evolving requirements of governance and e-HRMS, the state administration decided to transition to the new PIMS 2.0 platform (accessible via https://pims.nagaland.gov.in).

Under the upgraded version, several offline administrative procedures will now transition entirely online. These include the submission of applications for fresh registrations, regularization updates, and the rectification of employee details—governed by P&AR OM No. PAR/PIMS-2/2015 dated March 25, 2026.

Additionally, the submission process for verifying vacant sanctioned posts and securing clearance—previously under P&AR OM No. PAR/PIMS-2/2015 dated September 15, 2025—will also be conducted digitally.

Furthermore, PIMS 2.0 will comprehensively manage core service-related activities for state government employees, specifically covering leave and Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APAR).

The government has clarified that employee data housed within PIMS 2.0 will serve as the fundamental basis for computing salaries and other entitled services, as well as feeding into any other platforms determined by the state. Individual employees can establish their login credentials following the on-site instructions to view their records and submit rectification requests.
