DIMAPUR, APRIL 1 (MExN): N.S Achumi IPS, Additional Director General of Police (Ops) has passed away today. Condolence messages were received from Governor Nikhil Kumar and Home Minister Imkong L. Imchen. The Governor of Nagaland expressed deep grief on learning about the sudden demise of N.S. Achumi, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (Ops). The Governor observed that in his death the State has lost a dedicated and sincere Police Officer. The Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Tokhuli Achumi, wife of the Additional DGP and other members of the family on the bereavement. “May God Almighty to give you all enough strength and fortitude to bear the loss”, stated the condolence.
Home Minister Imkong L Imchen in his condolence stated that he was “utterly shocked to hear about the sudden demise of S. N. Achumi, IPS”. The Home Minister described Late Achumi as “a very efficient and intelligent officer and a very firm and dynamic administrator”. “His sense of judgment and decision were always exemplary. In his long and brilliant career in Nagaland Police services, he has contributed invaluable service not only to Nagaland Police establishment but to the people of the State as a whole”, stated the Home Minister in his condolence addressed to Mrs Tokhuli Achumi.
Also describing the police officer as one with a humble personality, the Home Minister stated that Late Achumi was loved and admired by one and all. “In the process of rendering services to the people, he earned immense respect from every quarter”, the condolence stated pointing out that in his demise, Nagaland Police “have lost a great officer and a great friend to myself and will always cherish his good service”. The Home Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to his wife and members of the bereaved families.
