Adhoc teachers regret SE’s bogus teachers

Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): Serving ad-hoc teachers today lamented that the School Education department would regularize bogus teachers while sidelining ad-hoc teachers. The All Nagaland Ad-hoc Teachers’ Union today demanded that the department justify the legitimate rights of the ad-hoc teachers and should complete the regularization within the stipulated period.
The union decried what it called the sluggish processing of ‘file’ of ad-hoc teachers seeking regularization and has demanded that the department “immediately complete” all formalities required if at all the authority in concern is actually ‘going to regularize them.’
The ANATU said the results of suitability tests for genuine ad-hoc teachers were withheld while “many teachers” were regularized “without appearing the suitability test.”  A press release issued by the union was received here today.
“Pointing out the unequal treatment by the authority, the union asked for justification to prove the legitimate rights of the genuine ad-hoc teachers, reminding that the department should complete the solution of regularization before the stipulated period (sic)” the ANTU stated.
The union also referred to its statement earlier serving an ultimatum to the government demanding regularization within a time frame.
The union expressed displeasure that the department had first recommended the “cleared list” of ad-hoc teachers only to regularize the bogus teachers first. The union’s press release was appended by its president Neizevotuo Nakhro and general secretary Huskha Sema.
