NFR to operate four pairs of festival special trains

Maligaon, September 20 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will operate four pairs of festival special trains to facilitate passenger travel during the forthcoming Puja, Diwali and Chhath festival season, an official statement said on Sunday.

Train No. 05742/05741 (New Jalpaiguri-Gomti Nagar-New Jalpaiguri) will operate from October 4 to November 30, with nine trips in both directions.

Train No. 07555/07554 (Katihar-Purnia-Katihar) will operate daily from October 1 to November 30, with 61 trips in both directions.

Train No. 07540/07539 (Katihar-Manihari-Katihar) will run from October 2 to November 30, with 43 trips in both directions, while Train No. 07544/07543 (Katihar-Manihari-Katihar) will operate from October 1 to December 1, with 18 trips in both directions.

Train No. 05742 New Jalpaiguri-Gomti Nagar special will depart from New Jalpaiguri every Sunday at 0830 hours and reach Gomti Nagar at 0910 hours on Monday. In the return direction, Train No. 05741 Gomti Nagar-New Jalpaiguri special will depart from Gomti Nagar every Monday at 1220 hours and reach New Jalpaiguri at 1500 hours on Tuesday.

The train will have stoppages at important stations including Siliguri Junction, Thakurganj, Araria Court, Purnia, Katihar, Mansi, Khagaria, Samastipur, Hajipur, Chhapra and Gorakhpur, among others.

Train No. 07555 Katihar-Purnia special will depart from Katihar daily at 2130 hours and reach Purnia at 2240 hours. In the return direction, Train No. 07554 Purnia-Katihar special will depart from Purnia at 2340 hours and reach Katihar at 0200 hours. It will have stoppages at Dalan, Rautara and Ranipatra.

Train No. 07540 Katihar-Manihari special will depart from Katihar at 1900 hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, reaching Manihari at 2000 hours. Train No. 07539 Manihari-Katihar special will depart from Manihari at 0315 hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, reaching Katihar at 0415 hours. It will have stoppages at Mansahi and Mahiyarpur.

Train No. 07544 Katihar-Manihari special will depart from Katihar at 2030 hours on Mondays and Thursdays, reaching Manihari at 2130 hours. In the return direction, Train No. 07543 Manihari-Katihar special will depart from Manihari at 0500 hours on Tuesdays and Fridays, reaching Katihar at 0600 hours. The train will have stoppages at Mansahi and Mahiyarpur.

NFR said details of stoppages and timings were available on the IRCTC website and were also being notified through newspapers and NFR's social media platforms.
