Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): The Naga National Council (NNC) today acknowledged its realization that the people are aware of the homecoming of Adinno Phizo, the President of NNC from London, who accompanied her brother’s mortal remains to Nagaland and “consequently, we have been receiving numerous calls and expression of concerns. We welcome all well-meaning opinions and suggestions for Adinno and for the Naga nation.”
In a statement issued by Acüyi Vadeo, Joint Secretary, the NNC informed that the President of the Naga Nation Council, Adinno will be able to meet and talk to “our people” at an appropriate time after a considerable mourning period. Until then, it has requested the people to kindly bear with the situation.
The NNC in the note also expressed profound gratitude to the Funeral Committee and Naga people in extending all possible help and co-operation from the day of learning the sudden demise of Kevilevor Phizo, CEC Member of NNC on April 12 till his funeral on April 28, 2013.
