Kohima, March 24 (MExN): The Red Ribbon Club of Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima organized a Training of Teachers on Adolescent Education Program in collaboration with NSACS, Kohima at the College Auditorium on March 23. Ainato Yeptho, Asst. Director, Youth Affairs, NSACS highlighted the objectives of the training, Thejangunuo Theunuo, Dy Director (IEC), NSACS highlighted on the scenario of HIV and AIDS in general and Kohima in particular. Dr. Asünü Sakhrie, District TB Officer, Kohima shared on the basics of HIV and AIDS. Metevinuo Sakhrie, Joint Director (IEC) NSACS gave the closing remarks. Mushim shared about her experiences being a positive person stressing on the sigma and discrimination in the society. Bange Konyak spoke on anecdote of the drug abuse. An essay competition was also organized by the Red Ribbon Club.
Workshop on guidance and counseling
On March 23, workshop on guidance and counseling was organized by Pearson Academy in collaboration with NECC, MITE Kohima branch at the ICT Lab of MITE. The programme started with a brief introduction about the objectives of the workshop which was co-ordinate by Dr. Zavise, Associate Professor SCERT Kohima. Participants were trained on conducting different psychological tests at school level such as personality traits, interest and aptitude by the resource person, Prasoon Gupta, Assistant Manager, Pearson Clinical and Talent Assessment, Noida (UP). Twenty one members from the different fields participated in the workshop. Dr. Imkongsenla Longchar, Asst. Professor, MITE was appointed as the state co-ordinator of the North East Career Club.
