Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): Assisi Hr. Sec. School Evening Section celebrated Parents’ Day on October 27 with Rev. Fr. John Poji, Vice Principal and Administrator of NEISSR, Dimapur as the chief guest and Rev. Sr. Mary CJ, president of Ursuline Franciscan Education Society, North East as the guest of honour.
During the function, Asarum Begum was honoured for her effort in educating her grandchildren.
A press release stated that under the patronage of St. Francis of Assisi, Assisi Hr. Sec. School (AHSS) Evening Section offers quality education to the deserving students at reasonable expense. At present, 937 students from LKG to Class VIII are studying in the school. The management and the staff are working for an integrated development of the children, the release said, adding the school strives to mould the students into instruments of peace.
The chief guest and the guest of honour appreciated Sr. Benishaufs, Headmistress and the staff for their dedicated and wholehearted service to impart quality education to the marginalized sections of the society. They also applauded the students for their spontaneity and creativity. Fr. John Poji exhorted the parents to spend sufficient time with their children and give them enough love and care.
