DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 10 (MExN): In a significant milestone for the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services (AH&VS), Advisor Kazheto Kinimi inaugurated the new Directorate building at Phezoucha, Kohima, on November 10, a DIPR report stated.
During his address, Advisor Kazheto Kinimi deemed it a red-letter day for the AH&VS Department and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for prioritizing and ensuring the completion of the new Directorate building. He acknowledged the CM's Office for its unwavering support at all stages of the project.
The Advisor expressed hope that the new building would foster a positive work culture among officers and staff, emphasizing the need for result-oriented efforts. He encouraged everyone to work with renewed energy and motivation, ushering in a new era of excellence and performance.
As part of the inaugural ceremony, he also released the 20th Livestock Census Report.
Director of AH&VS, Dr Nsanthung Ezung, provided insights into the journey leading to the construction of the new Directorate building. He outlined the reasons behind the initiative, including the instability of the old building, its distant proximity to the New Secretariat Complex, and issues related to space congestion. The construction, initiated on May 18, 2013, concluded on May 29, 2021, with formal occupancy achieved on April 5, 2023.
Advisor Kazheto Kinimi, unveiled the commemorative plaque, accompanied by a host of other dignitaries and legislators.
