New Delhi, February 3 (MExN): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with Google and YouTube, has launched a nationwide Artificial Intelligence skilling programme aimed at strengthening capacity in the Media and Entertainment sector.
The initiative is anchored under the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 and seeks to democratise access to high-quality AI training for creators, developers and media professionals across States and Union Territories. The programme offers fully sponsored scholarships for premium courses, enabling participants to access industry-recognised certifications free of cost.
The curriculum has been structured across two learning tracks. The Foundational AI and Prompting track focuses on the use of generative AI tools for creative ideation, storytelling and content development. The Generative AI Leader (GAIL) track is designed to help professionals understand the business value and responsible implementation of generative AI technologies.
On completion of Phase I, participants will be eligible to progress to Phase II, which will provide hands-on training on advanced tools such as Vertex AI, Gemini and Google Cloud, specifically tailored for media workflows.
