AICTE official interacts with students, faculty of Nagaland polytechnics

Kohima, October 15 (MExN): Director for Students Development Cell, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Dr Amit Kumar Srivastava interacted with students of Government Polytechnic Kohima (GPK) during his maiden visit to the State Capital on October 13. 

The AICTE official also interacted with principals and faculty of polytechnics, and officers of the Department of Technical Education, according to a press release on Friday. During the interactive sessions, Dr Srivastava discussed various AICTE Scholarship Schemes available for students of Nagaland, as well as Institutional Development Schemes and Faculty Development Schemes.  

Earlier, a felicitation programme in honour of the visiting official was held at the GPK during which Advisor to Nagaland Chief Minister for Technical Education and Election Department Medo Yhokha underlined the need for dedication and diligence on the part of principals and faculty of the polytechnics.

Yhokha also sought the assistance and guidance of AICTE to enhance the quality of technical education imparted in the polytechnics of Nagaland. GPK Principal Er Keyiekhru Rhutso, conveyed gratitude to AICTE for the various schemes and programmes extended to the polytechnics, the release stated.
