AIFC Eralibill win Summer A’chik football tourney

Winners of the second Summer A’chik Football Tournament which was held from July 29 to August 3 at Ekranipathar Village public ground.

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 9 (MExN): A’chik Immanuel Football Club (AIFC) Eralibill beat A’chik Football Club (AFC) at the second Summer A’chik Football Tournament which was held from July 29 to August 3 at Ekranipathar Village public ground.

Organised by the A’chik Immanuel Football Club, ten teams participated in the tournament, which was held on a knock out format. In the final match, AIFC Eralibill beat AFC 4-3. AFC Dubagaon bagged the second runners up spot. The highest scorer of the tournament was Ricky D Sangma from AIFC Eralibill, and the best goalkeeper award went to John G Momin of AFC Ekranipathar. 

The opening ceremony of the tournament was led by A Momin, Vice President of the Garo Community (GC) Ekranipathar and graced by Jiten Gogoi, DNBUC Convenor. Hector Sangma, Principal of LDHSSD was the guest of honour. The invocation was pronounced by Pastor Harishton K Sangma of Believers Church, Ekranipathar. 

The closing ceremony was graced by Samuel Marak as the chief guest along with Tokishe N Sumi and Makhan Chetia, Pramod Singh as guests of honour. The invocation on the final day was pronounced by Mary Konyak, youth leader, EBC.
