AIFF ‘D’ License course underway at Kohima

Kohima, July 24 (MExN): The five-day long All India Football Federation (AIFF) D’ License Course got underway at IG stadium Kohima on July 24. The course is being initiated by Khiamniungan Sports Council under the aegis of Nagaland Football Association. 

Altogether, 24 football coaches from Noklak district are taking part in the weeklong camp. N William Koso, AIFF D Coach Educator and AFC A licensed coach is the instructor for the course. 

Khiamniungan Sports Council President, Musho Lam said "the football enthusiasts of Noklak area find difficultty in many areas due to lack of facility and non availability to coach to mold them."

He hoped that with the course, the standard of the game will improve in the district drastically and urged the aspiring coaches to learn and mould upcoming youngsters to become professional footballers in the state. 

The AIFF-D License Coaching Course provides the ideal introduction to football coaching at grassroots level. Licence holder will be able to coach in grassroots football, college and school teams, district and Inter-city Championships etc. 

The coaching course comprises of theory and practical lessons in the football pitch. After the completion, those candidates who qualify in both the theory and practical exams will be awarded the AIFF ‘D’ Coaching Certificate.
