Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): The NSCN(R) led by Akato Chophi has extented greetings to Chakhesang community on the occasion of 'Khukhu' festival.
‘Khukhu is a festival for girls where the girls are offered a special and nutritious kind of food to make the bond of the family stronger. On this very special day, girls would eat, play and make merry the whole day,’ informed a press release from the MIP Akato-led NSCN (R).
“The NSCN firmly believes that, just as this festival signifies, our Chakhesang brothers and sisters will continue to make the bond stronger to their womenfolks in particular and the Nagas in general,” it said. “May good tidings prevail in each and every one of you.”
